The M.H. Newton Family Life Enrichment Center is a vibrant, community-based hub proudly owned and sponsored by Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church. Since opening our doors on July 4, 1999, we have been dedicated to serving the Greater Sumter Community by providing comprehensive programs and services that enrich the lives of children, youth, and families.

Our mission is to offer a range of services designed to nurture the whole person—mind, body, and soul. Through Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship, we empower individuals and families to reach their full potential while strengthening community bonds. This vision, inspired by a divine revelation to Pastor Marion H. Newton, continues to drive our commitment to personal and community development.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Housed in over 15,000 square feet of modern space, our center is designed to be both a place of learning and recreation. The facility features:
- Classrooms and Computer Lab: Equipped with wireless internet access, these areas support educational programs and digital literacy.
- Full-Court Basketball Court: With bleacher seating for 300, the court provides a dynamic venue for sports, community events, and youth engagement.
- Public Meeting Spaces: Ideal for gatherings, community meetings, and special events, these spaces help foster connection and collaboration within South Sumter.
